Snowstorm?
Have been listening to predictions for a large snowfall tonight by all of the news stations and witnessed all of the frantic shoppers stockpiling for the storm. You can almost hear the whispered prays of school children (and maybe their teachers) hoping for a snow day tomorrow. I pity the teachers if their prayers go unanswered.

Fortunately for me, I wasn’t counting on a snow day. I was actually relieved. In elementary school, we have a lot of Mondays off (including next week). This means that classes that have library on Mondays (fixed schedule) miss a lot of library time.
My wife enjoyed the two hour delay. My son cursed the two hour delay. He had hoped for much more.

I went to sleep late on that night, hoping that I would not have to wake up on Monday. Unfortunately, like the weathermen, I made too many assumptions before even seeing the actual snow! I woke up twice in the middle of the night hoping for a phone call from the school snow chain. Each time I woke up (3:45AM and 4:45AM), I looked out the window for snow, but did not see any! How UPSETTING!! We didn’t even get a two hour delay in Port Chester
